Biography Of Kumawood Actor Scorpion

Scorpion, a household name in Ghana's movie industry, has paid his dues and solidified his status as a legendary action film star. Born Andrews Mensah Ntul, he earned the moniker "Scorpion" in his debut movie with Ninja Film Production, the second action film group after Emma Boakye Ogyaba's introduction of action or karate films in Kumawood.

Ogyaba and his director, Samuel Asare, paved the way with their debut film, "Awereto wo me," which featured pastors fighting with karate techniques. Years later, Ninja Film Production followed suit with a movie that showcased marvelous stunts, starring Andrews Ntul Mensah alongside Kyeiwaa, Wayoosi, and the late Katawere, among other stars. This film became a hilarious sensation, with its success leading to the sold-out album "B16." Thus, the legendary Scorpion became a household name, registering him as one of the pioneers of action films in Ghana.

In a recent interview, Scorpion was asked about his potential foray into politics, following in the footsteps of his colleagues Okuani, Cocoa, and Tailor. While Cocoa has already declared his candidacy with the CPP, Scorpion remained coy about his own intentions. He emphasized that politics is a personal choice and not a criminal endeavor, leaving the door open for a future transition.

Scorpion likened himself to Moses, suggesting that if called upon to serve and liberate his people, he would answer. However, he clarified that any political aspirations would only be pursued after he has exited active acting roles. For now, his focus remains on creating thrilling stunts to entertain his audience.

When pressed about his potential party affiliation, Scorpion diplomatically praised both the NDC and NPP, describing them as "nice and fun to join." Nevertheless, he tactfully declined to disclose his leanings, choosing to keep the matter confidential.

As the interview concluded, Scorpion's response left fans and political enthusiasts wondering if the legendary actor will indeed make a move into politics. Only time will tell if Scorpion will trade in his action hero persona for a role in Ghana's political arena."
