Two Ghana Immigration officers were seriously injured in an ambush at Nagani in the Tempane District late Sunday night, November 2, 2025. The officers were returning from night duty on a motorbike when they came under fire from assailants.

 They were immediately rushed to the Upper East Regional Hospital in Bolgatanga, where they are receiving urgent medical care. The Ghana Immigration Service has yet to issue an official statement, but investigations into the incident are ongoing.

 The FDA Ghana has revoked the marketing authorization for Omama Herbal Mixture. 

The FDA GHANA states, Omama herbal mixture was supposed to be a herbal product for malaria and loss of appetite, but lab tests showed it had some not so herbal ingredients like Paracetamol, Diazepam, Metronidazole, and Niacinamide. Since it's a herbal prep, it shouldn't have any of those conventional pharmaceutical ingredients.

 Two of those ingredients, Diazepam and Metronidazole, are prescription only meds that should only be taken under medical supervision. The FDA is advising the public to report anyone still selling Omama Herbal Mixture to the nearest FDA office.

Two Students Shot By Classmate At Adventist SHS, Ashanti Region.

 

Two students at Seventh Day Adventist Secondary School in Bantama in the Ashanti Region have been seriously injured in a shooting incident on campus on Friday, April 4, 2025.

According to reliable sources within the school, the incident occurred during break time when Bernard Amoabeng, a form two student, brought a gun to school.

An argument reportedly ensued among the students over whether the weapon was functional.

In an attempt to prove it was, Amoabeng allegedly fired the gun, accidentally shooting and injuring two students. Penamang sustained a critical gunshot wound to her forehead. She was initially rushed to Kwadaso Hospital but was later referred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital due to the severity of her condition.

The Suame Police have arrested Amoabeng and initiated a full investigation into the incident. Whilst Benard, who brought the gun was on the run and later been arrested by the Galant Ghana Police Service.
